TikToker's Grim Mosquito Experiments Spark Creepy "Dexter" Comparisons

A TikTok creator under the username Fatsocat has gone viral, earning the unsettling nickname of the internet's "mosquito serial killer." The content creator documents bizarre, high-effort experiments on mosquitoes, pulling in up to 19 million views per video, before meticulously preserving their bodies in a notebook.

His methods extend far beyond a simple swat. The creator captures the insects alive, exposing them to everything from rat poison and glow-stick liquid to dense cigarette smoke inside a syringe. His calm, detached narration as the bugs succumb to the tests has fueled widespread comparisons to the fictional serial killer Dexter Morgan.

Once dead, each insect is taped into a dated notebook. A Reddit compilation of his work racked up 31,000 upvotes in a single day, with viewers joking about the serial killer vibes and admitting they somehow feel bad for mosquitoes.
