Stephen Wiltshire Draws Flawless City Skylines Entirely From Memory

Diagnosed with autism at age three, Stephen Wiltshire did not speak his first word until age five. However, he possessed a rare, extraordinary artistic talent: the ability to draw architectural landscapes with absolute precision entirely from memory after a single brief viewing.

Now one of Britain's most celebrated artists, Wiltshire creates massive panoramic drawings following brief helicopter rides over major global cities. His famous 19-foot panorama of New York City was drawn after a 20-minute flight, perfectly capturing thousands of buildings down to the exact number of windows. His largest work to date is a 32.8-foot panorama of Tokyo, completed in seven days after one flyover.

Awarded an MBE in 2006 for services to art, Wiltshire has drawn skylines including London, Rome, Hong Kong, and Dubai, demonstrating an incredible feat of human memory and artistic detail.
