Production on Disney's live-action "Tangled" is officially underway in Spain under director Michael Gracey ("The Greatest Showman"). Unlike many recent remake announcements, fan reaction to the newly revealed cast has been overwhelmingly positive.
Teagan Croft ("Titans") takes on the lead role of Rapunzel, taking the torch from original voice star Mandy Moore. Milo Manheim ("Zombies") plays Flynn Rider, with his screen costume earning early praise for matching the animated original almost perfectly.
Kathryn Hahn stars as the villainous Mother Gothel—a casting choice widely celebrated given her acclaimed performance in "WandaVision." Additionally, the Stabbington Brothers are played by two 6'7" actors, accurately capturing the intimidating physical scale of their cartoon counterparts.
Between faithful costume designs, spot-on villain casting, and imposing henchmen, the remake has passed its first major hurdle with eager fans.
