Writer Jeff Lemire unveiled the redesign for Absolute Cyborg at San Diego Comic-Con, officially bringing the Teen Titans into the dark, Darkseid-influenced Absolute Universe. Victor Stone makes his first appearance this October in Absolute Flash #20, marking the debut of the line's very first Absolute Teen Titan.
Lemire is using Absolute Flash as the launchpad to build out DC's teenage hero roster. While Cyborg leads the charge, additional Titans are set to join the dark continuity shortly after. The series will also debut several re-imagined heroes and villains in the coming months, including Absolute Firestorm, Absolute Atom, Abra Kadabra, and Rainbow Rider.
This version strips away the comfort and institutional support of previous iterations. Unlike his New 52 origin as a founding Justice League member, the Absolute Universe strips its heroes of wealth and privilege—reintroducing Victor as a raw, grounded teenager facing a harsher world.
