Ticket prices for the Spain versus Belgium quarterfinal at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles collapsed

Ticket prices for the 2026 World Cup quarterfinals plummeted by nearly 60% after both Portugal and the US were knocked out in the Round of 16. According to TickPick, the cheapest seats dropped from $2,950 to $1,200 within hours of Spain ending Cristiano Ronaldo's World Cup career and Belgium beating the US 4-1.

Analysts note that Ronaldo's exit was a bigger financial blow than the host nation crashing out. His global fanbase heavily drives secondary market value, causing average quarterfinal ticket prices across the tournament to fall over 30% in a single day. This was exacerbated by a massive surge in listings, with available tickets jumping from 28,000 to nearly 49,500.

The France vs. Morocco quarterfinal in Foxborough is now the round's cheapest matchup, starting at $989. With FIFA's biggest draw gone, the tournament's remaining commercial appeal rests largely on Lionel Messi and Argentina making a deep run.
